With so many different board games out their to choose from it’s hard to pick one that’s good. Our Mansions of Madness: Second Edition review will fill you in on everything you need to know about this popular board game. You play as an investigator who’s trying to stop an evil man from bringing over monsters from the other side. To start off it has nice artwork on the box as well as the board mat. The pieces for the monsters are grey and detail embellished to display and stand on their plastic black bases.
The creators of Mansions of Madness also know that people find board games boring and have brought a new modern element into the mix. They’ve made an app that you can download onto your phone or computer to enhance the realism. The app makes up random scenarios for you and your friends to fight past and even has riddles and puzzles you can solve on the screen. This makes it way different than board games where you just move pieces around. You can move room to room finding different objects and weapons to fend off the monsters and stop the evil guy. Players only have two action points per turn to move around or make important decisions. After every turn new details are revealed for you to try and figure out where the villain is. You can play the game by yourself but it’s more fully experienced with two or more people with you.
The Mansions of Madness Second Edtion also has the ability to be upgraded with expansion cards. The cards let you play as new characters and monsters along with different skills and events to match. All of the themed cards makes it great for people who are looking for board games that won’t get boring after awhile.
